Michael Tannousis
Michael Tannousis is a partner at KI Legal Personal Injury. Michael brings a wealth of litigation experience to KI Legal Personal Injury. For nearly a decade, Michael served as a prosecutor in both the Bronx District Attorney’s Office and the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office having tried over 30 jury trials to verdict. While a prosecutor, Michael successfully prosecuted serious felony cases involving violent crimes, drug sales, and high-profile homicides.
Michael is a life-long Staten Islander. After graduating from Monsignor Farrell High School, Michael earned his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University. He earned his Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law while working for the New York City Council. In 2020, Michael was elected to the New York State Assembly where he currently serves as the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee. He also serves as the Chairman of the Staten Island Republican Party.
Michael previously served as a board member of the Cyprus-US Chamber of Commerce and was a delegate for the Cyprus Federation of American. He has been consistently named in the Staten Island Power 100 and the Brooklyn Power 100 by City & State and was recently recognized as a Power Player in the 2022 Elections by PoliticsNY.. He was awarded the Cypriot Young Professional Award by the Cyprus-US Chamber of Commerce in May 2022.
