Georgia Paliogiannis is a law clerk at KI Legal. She graduated from Hunter College, the City University of New York, in May 2020 magna cum laude, where she majored in Political Science and Government. Thereafter, she began teaching seventh and eighth grade prior to attending Brooklyn Law School.
During her time at Brooklyn Law School, Georgia was a member of the Labor and Employment Law Association and a writing contributor for Brooklyn Law’s Sports and Entertainment Organization. Georgia also volunteered with the Courtroom Advocate Project, providing legal support to domestic violence victims. Her responsibilities included drafting petitions and orders of protection for victims.
Her work at KI Legal is focused on employment matters including wage and hour compliance, alleged violations of federal and state civil rights and employment laws, including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Americans with Disabilities in Employment Act (ADEA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the NYS Human Rights Law and the NYC Human Rights Law, and handbook/employee compliance.
