Richard Cordero is an Associate at KI Legal in the Real Estate Transactions Department. Richard is a dedicated legal professional with a strong background in real estate transactions as well as general corporate and organizational matters. His expertise includes acquisition, disposition, leasing, and financing of commercial properties, including, shopping centers, office buildings, and multifamily properties throughout the United States.
He has also drafted and negotiated leases for owners/developers and tenants, covering hundreds of thousands of square feet in various types of properties across the United States. His clients include publicly traded REITs, family-run real estate offices, high net worth individuals, private equity funds, and ground-up developers.
Richard also handles complex commercial transactions, drafting agreements such as joint venture agreements, equity participations, and purchase and sale agreements. He also advises clients on sophisticated mortgage and mezzanine financing for properties and developments. He has a wealth of experience in alternative financing and related agreements in connection with real estate transactions with a focus on renewable energy and sustainability.
Richard graduated from the University of South Florida with a double major in Criminology and Political Science. Richard then pursued his Juris Doctor at St. John’s University School of Law.
